  1. Young and Byrne are the ones who spoke up in favor? Shouldn’t that have been enough for those in favor to reconsider their position?

    Byrne, the guy who claimed that there was no need for schools to include in all the state mandated sex education that you should have consent from the other person…. because some places of the state had “other standards”?

    Young, the guy who doesn’t even caucus with Republicans because they’re not conservative enough? Who said “We don’t know who the best people are with the best philosophy, and why shouldn’t we know that?” Young can’t figure out how to research a candidate despite being a politician for four decades? Maybe time to step down.

    Yes, the same Republicans who gave us Diego Morales and Micah Beckwith should have more say over education and control who gets onto school boards. Because we should blame school boards, not the Republicans who’ve been in charge for the last two decades. It couldn’t possibly be the fault of the legislators who’ve decided that a retired florist should run education in this state.
